Certification
There are two Hingepoint Engineer certificates. Foundation comes first and establishes that you know the framework and have applied it in a group. Advanced builds on it and establishes that you have taken a complex piece of work through the framework yourself.
This page is about earning and managing a certificate. If you want the training itself, or a provider who delivers it, go to Training.
Hingepoint Engineer Foundation
The Foundation certificate confirms that its holder has a thorough working knowledge of the Hingepoint Framework and has completed software design tasks within a group, working to the framework.
It is earned through both of the following:
- a two-day training, delivered in person or online by a certified training provider, and
- a passed online test on the principles and procedures of the framework.
Both are required. Neither alone leads to the certificate.
Hingepoint Engineer Advanced
The Advanced certificate confirms that its holder has demonstrated building a complex Work Package using the Hingepoint Framework — not that they know how it works, but that they have done it.
Foundation is a prerequisite. Advanced is earned through both of the following:
- a three-day training, in person, delivered by a certified training provider, and
- a passed online test.

Both together
The two can also be taken as a single four-day training followed by one online knowledge test, which leads to both certificates. Because it includes the Advanced material, this route is delivered in person.
The certificate platform
Issuance and validation of Hingepoint Engineer certificates are handled through the Hingepoint Certificate Platform, operated by galaniprojects GmbH, authorized by the initiators of hingepoint.ai.
Certificates are issued to individuals who have met the requirements above. Your trainer initiates the certification; you claim the certificate that results.
- Claim and manage your certificates
- Sign in to claim a certificate once you have passed the training and the online test, and to change or delete the personal data held about you afterwards. Both levels are handled in the same place. Signing in sends a link to your email address — there is no password to remember.
- Verify a certificate
- Check whether a certificate someone has presented to you is genuine, and which of the two it is. Anyone can do this — no account required.
The other credential
Hingepoint Trainer is a separate credential, held by organizations licensed to deliver the training rather than by individuals. It is verified differently: certified trainers appear in the register on Training, and that register is the only verification route.
